Ok I feel like a retard but I have bought master links in the past and the end plate doesn't fit so you can clip the retainer on I just opened up alittle with drill bit. I just got a brand new Renthal chain and sprocket set I got the Z chain I went to put the master link on and it doesn't fit. Do they make it that way in case you rivot it or what am I missing? How do you install the clip? I can install a big bore kit and doabout anything else what am I stupid?

anymore new chains have to be pressed on. get yourself a chain press. rmatv has them for $10. it is nearly impossible to get the o-ring chains on without it..and don't even try an x-ring.

Use vise grips and a 1/4" wrench. Put the master plate on use the box end of the wrench and place it over the stud and squash the plate adjusting the vise grips each time. VERY EASY !!!!
