go to www.neatv-mx.com. That will tell you all the classes. If you have not gotten a quad yet, I suggest a 400ex. green river has them advertised right now for 4,650.

hows the 2 stroke class? i just traded my 400 for a 250r and i plan on racing next year. all i have to go on is a practice day with a guy from 4-stroke novice at a local practice track and he was faster than me but he knew the track and it was only my 3rd time riding mx.

I recommend the 4stroke.

The 2 stroke class is VERY competitive. For Southwick your gonna want a lot of power to pull you through the soft sand. I would suggest a modified 400EX or a Cannondale if it' in your price range. Also a lil trick is to not run and skid plates on that track so there will be less drag cause towards the end of the day all there is is ruts.

I had one of the most tricked out 400ex's in the novice class and let me tell ya the only one that came close to my speed was redrizza  and in all honesty all you need to win the 4 stroke novice class is a big set of coconuts and a stock 400ex i know from experience just ask the neatv-mx 4 stroke novice champ he'll tell ya:mad:

:o Thanks man, I never saw this thread till now. Hows the CRF ride?

Southwick is all about physical conditioning. The guy who won Novice last year was on what appeared to be a stock quad. I know mine is widened and I have front shocks, but other than that, it's stock. Mostly, just go out, have fun and don't get hurt. Good luck

Thats the Key :)

That and leave your skidplates home ;)

All the guys in the NEXTV MX are great to talk to and will help any way they can
