IS THEIR A NEED FOR THIS FOR THE 400EX? AND WHAT EXACTLY DOES IT DO? CAUSE IVE REMOVED THE STEM WITH OUT ONE BUT NOW MY STEM IS A LITTLE LOSE AFTER PUTTING IT ALL BACK TOGETHER AND TIGHTENING IT DOWN? THIS IS WHAT IT SAYS(Used to loosen or tighten the lower slotted steering stem nut.
Eliminates having to use a hammer and screwdriver.
Fits most bikes with 35-45mm slotted steering stem nuts.)

it also looks to be a pre-load wrench for your shocks...to loosen the nut so you can adjust pre-load and ride height......
