side frame guards?

bouncing around on ebay, I see auctions for "side frame guards".
does anyone use these?
do you like them?
where do they mount to the frame?
do you have any pics?

I use Pro armour side gaurds, seem to the job well but they look good too. Photobucket is down at the mo but I will post pics once up and working again.
