I'm wanting to go to a 416 with 12:1 CR. I've seen this piston kit somewhere but can't find it. Does anyone know where I can locate it. I've checked the links pages and had no luck. If you don't feel comfortable putting a locale on here please email me at womacasin@hotmail.com. Thanks in advance guys.

Sparks sells a 12.5:1 416. Its not too far off of what you want.

It does make good power from idle to rev limit. I had one with a stage 2 hotcam running on 110 race gas and never had a problem. I have a 440 Stroker now though :D

Copper gaskrets are good but it wont matter if the studs pull out. And there is a great chance they will at 12.5 to 1

you can also heli coil the holes and use stock studs. Thats what i did when mine pulled out and never had a problem again.

There's nothing wrong with the studs, just the aluminum they set in. Properly installed heli coils or regular steel inserts give the studs the extra bite they need to stay in place.
