no spark

i have an 03 ltz400 the other day i went to ride it and it wouldnt start i put a new plug in it and checked it for spark, it will only spark for a split second when you hit the starter button then no spark till you turn the key off and then back on and still just one little spark PLEASE HELP:confused:

check your fuse under the seat. check if your ignition wire is carroded. or maybe its the cdi box. is it properly grounded???

i had this same problem a few weeks ago on my z. my plug wire on my coil was loose. try that
