450r axle on a 400ex

an ex axle fits on a 450r so a 450r axle will fit on an ex right? If it does will there be any pros and cons by running a 450 axle on an ex

chain alignment will not be perfect,the 450r axle has a short flange on the sprocket side so it goes further into the bearing carrier.I have compared both of them side by side and with some trial and error myself;)

If you go over to the 450R section, you will find a similar thread. But a 450R will not fit in an ex unless you swap out the carriers and swingarms because a 450R carrier will not fit in a 400 swinger. I too did some trial and error and I would know. I did it.
