What does Rev mean?

I have noticed that some people refer to their quads as Rev. What does Rev mean? Sorry for the stupid question but I cannot figure out what it means

I forget the post but a guy implied that he has two quads. He was talking like if his one quad goes down he can fall back on his rev. What did he mean by rev in that statement.
I did not mean reverse or engine revolutions when I posted rev.
