tightening a chain on a 400ex.

i'm assuming that you just loosen the four allen bolts on the swinger and rotate the whole rear assembly back until it's tight enough????? also how much slack should there be?

yep, and just stick some kind of bar or screwdriver in the holes and pull back,and there should be about 2 to 3 finger widths of play

1 1/4" freeplay give or take an 1/8"
