Hey everyone.

Well, we going riding next weekend at ashland and I need the trusty 4-hundy ready.

I finally ditched the baldie front tires and got some 21" klaw XCT's. My old tires were 22"

Now the rear sits too high because its on stock preload settings. I tried to get the dang thing to spin, but it wont. I used a screwdriver and hammer and still couldnt break it free.

Any tips on how to break it loose to adjust the preload?

is there any way to do it without buying a wrench?

besides using a spanner wrench many suspension tuning tips say use a punch and a hammer to free the jam nut (top ring) and then turn the bottom by hand. Good luck I cant turn mine or my brothers. Now he has a works shock and its so easy just 1 whole thing turns it not a jam nut or anything

They seem to be very tight from the factory. I had to take a hammer and punch to mine to get it to move. It took a few really good whacks too.
