I have a 2000 300ex and i have noticed some excess slack so i loosened the 2 pinch bolts and adjusted the chain to what appeared to be the recommended one inch play and retightened the bolts thought all was well went ridin and parked it for the night then on my normal preride check this morning i noticed the slack again so i retightened again this time marking the adjuster and the swingarm with a marker and sure enough after just 20 minutes of riding nothing extreme it was back out again any ideas why this wont hold am i taking too much slack out or is there something that will wear out in the rearend that i need to look for any help would be great
