i agree! awesome builds...now how about some details! and a comparison of the 2 engines...:D

As far as the engines....

My Baldwin 444 I have been riding for the past year and it is still running very strong, I may throw a set of rings in before the season kicks off. As far as power it pulls hard top to bottom. Over the winter i added another new Yoshimura exhaust, (the old one went on the practice bike and turns out it had no packing left in it) and also re-did the intake setup with a new airbox and intake boot setup to help improve the flow of air to the carb. I wont expect big changes in power but every little bit helps.

Now back to the 426...

Stock Motor with a Wiseco and just your basics such as the intake, some carb mods, and exhaust. With this bike im not really looking for gobs of power and it was aimed to use pump gas as it is my practice bike and dont need a 50+ horse motor to put in laps at the practice track.
Although its stock it has some pep to it as all 426's do, claiming 45+ hp stock in the Yz426 bikes Yamaha sold from the factory.

I will add some more pictures shortly...

Yes like 800screws said, they still make them and you can get them through pretty much any AC dealer/distributor.

And as far as which one i like the looks of better, im still in a toss up also. Later this week i will post new pics with the RPM front billet hubs, finished skidplates, new intake setups, and a quad with a real rear shock!

how did you Rath heel nets on the 426 and how did u get the quad-tech seat cover there discontinued??..also and is that a Walsh or Houser frame on the 426?

It is still up in the air on the frame..but most likely an early Houser after talking to the people at Houser racing.

We custom fabbed some heelgaurds to work on both of my bikes from Rath, they are custom fit for the quads.

Quadtech no longer makes the seat covers, E-bay.

Thank you,

rmc

The shock was out to be serviced, so we made an aluminum strut to put on it to move it around.

Heres finished pictures of it...

o0o ;)

I thought the Aluminium Tubing was the start to some magnificant rear shock assembly.

The bikes look awesome though!
Makes me want to start my build even more now!!

Hey just wondering where you got your chain sliders from? Are they the same as normal 250r's? Thanks for any help, its the last thing I need?:D

xrxmxcx

I see that you can get the banshee style rear, but can you also get the front one at the pivot point, I dont see it avertised. Thanks again,

Sam

we used a TM designworks front 250r slider and made some alterations to it.

So we talking major alterations? I was looking at the swinger today, and I am hoping its just moving the mounting hole. Thanks,

Sam
