I recently picked up a trx that needed some work. All the gas was terrible so I ripped the carb apart to clean it and these were the jetting settings.

160/42 4th clip position. Mods that I know of are a ESR pipe and silencer, K&N airfilter with no air box lid, and a coolhead. Wondering if that seems in the ball park at all?

Thanks
Doug
P.S The machine seems to run pretty well I haven't driven it much since it has been really cold and the front end needing some attention. But it will not idle, I had it idling for 5-10 mins then took a slow put around the yard and then wouldn't idle again. Went out this morning 10 degrees out and it surprisingly started on one kick but would not idle unless you keep your thumb just barely touching the throttle.

Would also like to add that I noticed that the throttle cable is all out of adjustment, and if I had a little more I I could adjust it so the idle would be high enough maybe.

You don't adjust the idle with the cable, you adjust in on the carb.

What size is the carb? With the cold temps it's more then likely running lean.

I believe it is a stock carb, if the temps were 60ish does that jetting make sense?

42 pilot sounds about right, what is your air screw set at?

Put a brand new spark plug in it, and see if it will idle. If it does idle, but then dies after a few minutes, pull the plug out and tell us what it looks like.
