well alright guess i was wrong. I figure you would know since you have an 04 and an 07. My question now is....why do they sell them at quadtech as an 04-05 model then a 06+ model? Thats what i based my answer off of. They are all the same price but is anything different on them at all?

I'm thinking that they changed something slightly different in the way the 06+ latches. I think the actual "hook" has more of a bend in it than the 04-05 latch. The older style were bad about coming unlatched during regular riding.

This could have been it or the part in the gas tank could have changed slightly. Either way, I've been running an 04 quadtech on my 07 for 5 months and haven't had any problems at all - and it still latches like it's factory.

Yeah they swap fine. I've had both on my bike.
Tho the 06 seat is hard as a rock lol.

damnit, i could have gotten the 06+ quad tech hump seat same colors as the one i paid 305 for at quad tech for 125 on ebay. Things i wished id known earlier. but thanks for lettin me know this.

The 04-05 seat is slightly taller and softer than an 06-newer, but as stated above, they do interchange.
