I was looking at the big gun one on motosport. It says that it only increases the from 9000 to 9750 so it only increases the rev limit 750 over stock is this right.

What kind of throttle linkage did you end up using for the carb?

How does it run?

As far as which box you should run...whichever has the highest redline.

I just sawed the little elbow piece off that connects to the top of the 250 carb. I cut it right at the base first then i had to cut it again shorten up a little to make it work. Stock cable still. I have had it this way for a while and it seems to b holding up pretty good.

thought that i would just add that if you go this route dont plan on using your old carb unless you have a spare on laying around or buy one off ebay. I dont think that anybody sells the top piece that srews on top of the carb.

Very interesting. Some pics of the final result would be great. If you have some and need help uploading, email me the pics by attaching them and send them to hogan9ac@erau.edu

How does it pull through the rpm range?

over all I really like it alot better than the stock carb. It felt like it took away from the low end a bit and gave me a little more on the top, but im not a rocket scientist here just my opinion. I havent really got to ride it since we put the full exhaust or big bore kit though.

I should also add that this is off a 05. I dont know if all the carbs are the same or not. If you need more detailed info on this i will try to get some more pictures.

Thanks for the pic. I still dont quite understand what you did, though.

It sounds like you used the top of the 250ex carb on the new carb. You didn't modify the cable itself but rather the metal brace/collar that the cable goes through.

Do you still run the stock airbox, or an airbox from a different bike?

Sorry for all the questions, but this is a relatively untested modification. The only thing I've proven is that the thing will bolt up, LOL

The cable is still the same stock cable. I just had to adjust it a bit. Then I took the top off the stock carb that screws ontop of the carb and just cut the piece the cable runs though, the collar or elbow whatever you want to call it at the base. May have to cut it a little shorter to make it work. Stock air box u just have take it off first then put the carb on then the box back on. Dont worry about asking to many questions cause if it wasnt for your fact thread I would have a million questions. I appreciate all the help this forum has been.

bike has sat for 3 months and started the first time we hit the button.

i think the revbox made a bigger different than the pipe.

curtis sparks sounds good but thats all i can tell it did
