unless you feel like dumping alll of your money into gas, then i wouldnt suggest getting a SRT-10, and the insurance on it is gonna be crazy high for a young driver

the charger SRT-8 runs a 6.1L hemi.............425hp with a 5speed auto stick tranny. I was gonna wait for the new challenger to arrive, but the price was right on this car. I got it used with only 1300 miles on it.

my car is insured under my parents with me as the primary driver. insurance is still expensive ($1400 a yr), but it is a hell of alot cheaper than if i had it in my name

Challenger..............and yes, thats a cool car. However, I hear the dealers will be marking them up WAY over msrp due to low production numbers.

Local dealers will .... but you can find one on Ebay for about $50 000 which is reasonable enough.

I'd take second round of production anyways ... they'll come with the Standard transmission option rather than just auto.

I found a new Challenger at my local dealer last week. They had it marked up 20k over sticker price. They finally came down to 52k out the door, but thats still too much. I drove by there yesterday and it wasn't there, so they must have found a sucker to buy it. I want one, but I ain't letting them get rich off of me.

They told me, " the car is collectable and it will be worth 80k in a few years". Apparently they don't know me very well............cause I am gonna drive the tires off of it.

Besides that, they probably wouldn't give me 30k for it the following day on trade in.

Give it about 3 monthes for the 09's to hit the dealers and the prices will drop like a rock. The 08's were limited prduction, didn't have a posi rear and you couldn't get stick. The 09's are well worth the wait.

my cousin is doing the 2011 charger right now and let me tell you its a badass car... he brought in a few pictures of it and stuff and told me 6.4 liter hemi with 500 to 550 hp
