Ignition Advance Key

After installing this Ignition Advance Key on my TRX400EX I lost my low end torque and I can, not feel any difference in top end.. I hit 65MPH with the old key now I fall short of that as well. any ideas?

when you were putting it all together did you turn the flywheel till it stops then tighten?
