what type of shocks?
It all depends on the track condition, rider weight, etc. lots of contributing factors

Soften the compression as much as it will go. Quicken the rebound as fast as it will go. Crank your springs down until you can LAND from about a 4' drop and not bottom-out. You want most of the load on the springs. The feeling you'll probably get from that is going to be a little of a jar BUT it won't bottom. Hardening the compression is what will get the jar out but just go a couple clicks (or 1/3 turn) at a time or you might over-do it. It will probably stay on the soft side unles you are 200lbs+. You'll adjust the rebound coming off the ramp. The rebound being off will throw you the wrong way or send the front or back up. When you get the rebound set where it flies straight and true, it will handle anything.

That should give you a good start.
