05 Suzuki RMZ250: Good Deal??

I just found a guy local here selling an 05 Suzuki RMZ250 bike for $2300. Its never been raced and only been ridden on his farm for about 6 hours. The paint on the frame rails is still 99% there!! Its totally stock.

Do you think this is a good deal? I've been looking for a 250 four stroke bike to putz around on when I'm not on my quad, and this one came up... post your thoughts and experiences with these bikes...

They aren't bad, but I'm pretty sure the '04-'05s had undersized radiators and liked to overheat.

Get it. If it gives you problems, just sell it for more than you bought it for.

Make a profit and buy a different bike.;)

they still run the same radiators on the 06's and 07's.

Change your rad cap from the stock 2.1 to the 2.6 and that will solve your overheating problem.

Nice bikes overall. The only bad thing I've really seen about them is a weak second gear. That's really the only major problem I've seen with the first gen. rmz's.

Thanks for the info guys, this will be my first bike. I'm not sure why I'm actually even considering buying a bike, I just think it'd be something different to spend my time on. I'll never lose grip of the atv's in fact I've still got two full 05 Roll Design/PEP race quads that I'll be riding 90% of the time, but I'd like a bike too.

I'm going to go check er' out with cash in hand saturday.. Expect a build..haha..
