Guys,

This is complete BS. The screw that holds the compression adjustablility cap broke the head off!! The threads are stuck in there!!

Does anybody know -- if I can drill it out will there be oil that comes out or am I safe to do this?

I would be really careful, I don't believe oil will come out but you don;t want to mess up the shock.
C&D Racing can repair it for you, you may be able to remove the assembly but that would leak oil.
Sometimes the assembly itself freezes in there and its not your screw that is stuck but the adjuster. You don't ever want to run the shock all the way one way, but a click or 2 from max.

You can drill it out, no oil will leak out. Just use the right size bit and screw extractor. Also try PB break or WD-40 and a little heat to free it up.
