Is anyone running a larger air intake boot on their R? I have seen one advertised on E-bay that supposedly allows more air flow and is built to fit 38 - 41mm carbs and was wondering if this boot was worth the money $59. Should I just stay with the stock air boot or what? I had also seen a larger intake that goes between the carb and cylynder, is anyone running one of them. Any info would be of great help. thanks

That air boot you saw on Ebay is from an LT500, that boot is used with a no link rear shock setup, because the airbox must be moved back to clear the shock. Stock 250R airboots work fine with stock and CR500 link setups and will fit 39mm carbs without too much trouble. That LT boot might flow more air, but if you used it in the stock location, I think it would close in on itself because it is longer then the 250R boot.
