rebuilding my ex to a 416, in the process of moving the bike and disengaging the cluth i snaped the head off the gear shift spindle. i have to crack the case and pull it out, easy sence the bike is apart for rebuild. the question is where can i get a new spindle with out going to the honda service shop, or any ideas on how to fix ?

ebay will probably be your best bet if you dont want to buy a new one.

if you are talking about the shaft that the shifter bolts to, you dont have to split your cases. it slides through on the clutch side.

You do have to split the case to get it out because it has to slide out from the inside of the case.

well, it sure does, lol. that sucks a**. most other bikes, you can just slide it out from the right side with the clutch cover off.
