they come a lot cheaper than that, so if i were you i'd just do it right and save up. its blurry, but its probably one of the best close ups i have of it.

A LONG time back on this website, someone adapted a stock raptor 660 hood on a 400ex. It looked pretty trick and agressive. If you adapted a black raptor hood it would be pretty cool.

Maybe we should start running rear view mirrors with carbon fiber dice hanging from them, LOL.

because real carbon fiber things are pretty.. and i didn't pay that much..i have the biggest penny pincher of a ride lol. i love hoods, but i can't stand the maier versions. i got a good deal on the trail tech headlights, and my stockers were basically destroyed, so this allowed me to just get rid of all the broken stuff for less than new front fenders cost.

i need a hood bad. i want one that i can put numbers on the front though and one that doesnt stick down past the plastics in the front. if anyone has any for sale or knows of any for sale, let me know.

My 250r hood. I could trim the plastics a little more to make look a little better, but I'm lazy.

Heah now.. I resemble that remark... But when you typically have precious cargo riding another Quad behind (my wife) it is nice to keep an eye on your "assets"... out in the "wild"... and on those occasional 30 mile plus between town trips on the highway :-)

i agree there expensive and IMO dont look all that good if i were to do anything to mine and had money to blow i would update it to a 05-06 front plastic and lights

What do you guys think about a 250r hood w/ scoop? (Black)

Also, dariusld, could you do me a HUGE favor? Could you please give me the dimensions length, and width, please? When I cut the plastic for my old one, I just chopped it so air could flow, but I am worries that the hole might be too big for a 250R.

exrider272 i like ures alot the only thing i would do would be to install yfz450 front headlighs and it would look great , especialy like mine and the rest of the stock 99/ 04 400ex looks like they have big Owl eyes looking at u but nothin is worse than the yamaha warroir

yeah! ive seen raptor 700 lights held up to one before and it looked pretty good.. and yea warrior lights they look worse then 400s hah.

450R hood. I had a 250R smoothie on my old fenders & liked it just as well. the 250R hood is alot easier to install.
