do the motors fit?? trying to put a drz400 motor in an ltr 400. I know the drz does not have reverse and the drz has a different cover for the kick starter but the drz motor is electric start. the motor mounts look like they are in the same spot any info.

Don't quote me on this but I'm almost positive they're the same, but I am 100% positive you'll have to get one with electric start. the kicker wont clear the frame. but from what I've seen otherwise the engines are identical externally.

I built one of these for a friend and it all fits just have to make your own kicker like the other guy said but they are pretty much the same.

I thought the bottom end {trans} was different size than the Z400?

Im sure its for kickstart, weight ,but I never understood why kickstart, miss a kick miss being in first and the weight, why not lose 5-10pds off your body ,and is 5-10pds really going too have an effect on lap time I cant see it. I read borick had bad start missed kicked his suzuki 450 in the GNNC race cost him alot of making up but he LUCKLY did to beat Ballence things like that happen alot with kickstarting electric start is so worth it!
