I run a 13 tooth front sprocket and you do NOT have to take a link out of your chain.

no, you do not need a new chain... just put the new sprocket in and adjust the chain to your needs. it will be perfectly fun. just make sure to keep the chain lubed as usual

Ive riden with 13t front with heavy mudtire rears and just switched to rear holeshot tires and 13t was overkill way to much spining not alot of hook up then I went to stock (14) liked ,then tryed 15 and it seemed just right for the tires Im running So gear it to the tires your running heavy rears are going to need 13t,holeshots etc,run 14-15t front unless you ride very tight trails all the time. by the way speed is huge difference when switching from 13 to 15 yes the 13 was a great hillclimber but flying down the trails now is big difference. just my opion!

there is no master link in the stock chain. If you want to get the chain off, you either need to take off the swingarm or cut it with a cutting tool of some sort. I would recommend taking this time to take the swingarm off, and grease all the pivot points on the swingarm, paying special attention to the pivot bolt. Those thinks seize really easily.

well i desided to try and loosen the change with the adj, on the back and loosened it up till the bolt fell off the pulled it back and got a wrench and got some room around it and pulled it off, it was pretty easy after that,
thx for the help!
probly be back for more questions when i get more money..lol

Next time go to dealer get masterlink for chain so changing gears and chain aren,t a problem.its only $5 dollars. I got old chain on now I gonna replace but before I do I wanted to change gearing from 13 to 14 to 15 so I have two links in chain just for testing will get new chain soon but was just trying to figure out best gearing for me. And I like 15 with 20in holeshots the best.
