Look for a cheap way to lower a 400ex that will still allow to jump up to 6 ft. Want to lower it about 1 to 2 inches.

Do you have any fab. skills?

For flat track we just make new shock mounts on the a-arms and axle a little be further out than the stock to lower it. If you weld it nice and use strong steel, you're good to go.

That wont do so well on a 6ft jump though. For the rear buy some after market springs to make it a dual spring setup. IT will make it like a zero preload shock like and aftermarket shock without sacrificing wheel travel. As far as the front, I dont know other than different shocks.

If you have the stock rear shock just loosen up that excessive pre load on the spring and you'll get 1-2" in the rear with a much better ride. Cost $0

If you fab it right it's just as strong as factory. We've done it before. Beauty of owning a fabrication shop:D

when you move the shock mounts out that won't cause the a-arms to hit the shock on a hard landing?

Also would you recommend changing the upper a arms to 250r a arms so they can be adjusted?

Its not that dramatic of a change. Your only moving it 1in down or so...

Idk how you would be able to loosen that damn jam nut without a hammer and a spanner wrench.
