for my 04, back when i first got the hmf s/o and got it jetted i cut the airbox lid and put a cheap little screen over the cut part, but yesterday that screen fell through and broke so now im looking for somethin a little better, ive been looking in the books but all i can find is those expensive "powerlids" so thats out and those covers that you replace your lid with and im not paying 20-30 bucks for what appears to be a piece of spandex, so does anyone have any tips?

thanks

On my snowmobile, I used a peice of foam air filter that came in a 2ft. X 2ft. piece, thats about 1/2 inch thick.

I cut it to size, and it had a small lip, i used a zip tie.

your best bet, if you save the money is to just get an outerwears lid. or take an outerwear and cut it to the size and staple it over your cutout.

back when I was noobish enough to own a 300ex, I bought UNI's standard green filter foam stock (about 2' x 2') and cut it to fit my lid hole, and made a bracket to bolt it in place.
