i have an 06 ltz400 lowerd ,works stadium zero preload suspension,13 tooth,rev bax,hmf slip on, k&n with lid off, now to the carb i had a guy instal the jet kit for me cuz i was to lazy to do it myself well long storie short the guy lied and some how lost my needle. so i tried to temporarely get some HP out of the bike by using a 170 jet with the stock needle with 4 shims on it.works great awsome low end power. but i want to do this rite so i purchased a new jet kit soly to get the needle. now we all know toying with the carbs gets old and frustrating tairing them back and forth trying different combos of jets and needle settings. so i ask you.what size jets and what is your needle settings? to help save me some time. i am in texas close to sea level.and no there is no engine work or hot cams here. YET LOL.
