When you say there's no oil, do you mean there's nothing on the dipstick, or nothing coming out of the bottom of the engine compartment when the oil screw is out?

I'm not sure why there is no oil on your dip. I would probably recommend draining the engine compartment (both sides), and refilling with the proper amount. I know the stock oil tank and engine compartment will hold more than the recommended amount, but I don't think it's a real great idea to have it filled to the brim.

I believe that since Canada is farther north on the map, it must be flowing the oil back south away from the oil box. Turn the bike around. It should fix the problem.

My Thoughts,

Double check the filter and spring. O-ring on filter should face out.

Then:

You might want to check the oil screen that is in the bottom of the oil tank.

If that looks fine then I would start checking each oil line one at a time to make sure oil comes out of it when unhooked.

Remember oil is cheap compared to an engine overhaul. Take your time and systematically eliminate each possibility.

let your engine idle for three minutes before turning it off and then check dont rev up your motor at all for for those three minutes
