View Full Version : how do i get the axle off, quick please

i am changin the axle on my 250ex i got the wheels, and hubs basic stuff off now how do i get the axle out, it looks like i just take off the 2 nuts, and it slids out is that correct in any way, please help me if you can quick :D

1-go buy a manuel before you start
2-look on service honda.com, or another web-site with chematics like that.

well i broght it to my local shop and they said it was simple anyone could do it, and i already have everything off, the 2 nuts, and some washers and it looks like it slides out is that correct

YES IT WILL JUST SLIDE OUT THERE IS PROBLE SOME O RINGS AND WHEN YOU PUT IT BACK IN LOCK TIGHT THE NUTS BUY THE MANUAL YOUR FLYING IN THE DARK:huh

you also gotta take apart the rear brakes. remove the rear brake drum from the axle, there is a spacer that will slide off the opposite side. then the axle will slide out

i got it :D it was really pretty simply all you got to is take the side cover of the brake drum off, and take out the shoes and it all sides out, and i rode on it and its all good, brake work and everything, thanks for yalls help,lol
