I bought a used sparks big core full system. It is in need of repacking. What packing should i buy. How hard is it to repack it right. Is the any "how to" on the internet anywhere? Also what is a good jet kit to buy? Thanks

Its simple just drill out the rivets and wrap the new packing around the core and reinstall. Any packing will work fine. I would just buy individual jets if you are looking to save money. Good luck:)

Go to sparksracing.com, they have everything you need and its not that expensive. only the exhausts are expensive.

me personally i like running the stock keihin jets. but the sparks is designed for there exhaust and a filter kit. plus when each keihin jet is $6.....that could get expensive. I own every jet from 160-200 and pilots from 42-55......it cost me a pretty penny.

you have a 2006 right?
needle: 3rd clip
main: 160-175
pilot: 45-50
leak: 50 or 55
a/f screw: anywhere from .5 turns out to 2.5 turns out.

those numbers will put you in the ballpark so just start with the lowest numbers and move up till you get it right.

My life must be better than I thought. Pilots are $4 for me at the local shop, and mains are $2.30. I used to think people who bought jet kits were crazy, but for some people I guess it's the better value.
