Gotta 36 Air Striker and V force 2 Reed cage

I was wondering should I wait till Im ready to port the cylinder to add them or just try em out?
Fresh Top End Stock with a ATC 250 gasket FMF Pipe Open Air Lid, my buddy told me that the air stricker and reeds will wake that the power band up dunning.

the porting will increase the performance from the items but it wont hurt anything to get them on and working now, usually when you do multiple mods at once it can be hard to tune the bike so by getting your carb on and jetted properly before the porting would probably be a good idea.

why are you useing a atc gasket? your talking about the head gasket right?

Well, because e 86 TRX250r gasket is thicker I measured with a set of calipers the ATC gasket wa sthinner by .010" then there is the CR gasket, way to thin to run pump 91 gas.

i bet thats why the atc engine have 7.5 to 1 comp and the trx has 7 to 1

the atc engine actually had 8:1

was it any thing past 8:5 to 1 compression you need to use race gas on 2 stokes????
I need to check compression, was it anything past 175 lbs to use race fuel?
Im a firm beliver that todays gas sucks for 2 stokes all my kids 2 strokes I mix a gal to gal in half of 110 with 91 to raise the octane points a few, dentonation tears apart 2 stroke pistons and head gaskets.

Just looked in my clymer manual,

ATC250R's have 8:1 comp,

1986 TRX has 7.5:1
1987-on TRX has 7.7:1

If anyone was wondering.
