woulda 450r carb help out my stock 400ex or would i need some engine work to actually need it, anyone who races harescrambles, what is your opinion on tire/wheel setups, i need some but would like some advice first, i am fairly new to the sport but i am already hooked on it.

You could either take your choke off. Ive heard of that doing something. Not really a noticable difference but you could try it. As for the 450r carb on a 400ex. I have never done it,I have heard of it working with very few modifications. Definitly noticable difference in power increase also. I race harescramble and I run 22's on the rear and 21's on the front. Does pretty well.

what series do you run, i run mid-east, at least i am going to try to, this is my first year racing so I need lots of advice, what size rims do you run on the rear.

9" hiper beadlocks on rear is what i run

cool thanks, ive seen some people using 8s, i run so i was just wondering if there was a reason for smaller wheels

People usually use 8's for motocross or flat track racing. Your bike wil sit to low to the ground if you run 8 inch rims or tires smaller then 20" i would use atleast 20's.
