Hello,
I just changed the pads on the front brakes and that was a success :) But now I am on the rear brakes and having a problem. I removed the caliper and removed the bolts holding the pads. I can't get the piston to seat back in. I can pump the pedal and it comes out further so it isn't frozen. I lostened the bleeded valve but to no avail. I removed that thing on the back of the caliper with the cable attached (no clue what that does) but that didn't help either. I dont have a c cllamp, but a screwdriver prying it closed worked on the front 2. Any tips on getting the piston in???
Help me please!!!!!
Thanks

That 'thing' is the parking brake assembly. Pretty much useless. I recommend removing it altogether and installing a block off plate, about $10 or so.

A C-clamp would probably be your best bet moving the piston back. Removing the master cylinder cap may help, be careful with the brake fluid... it's quite the paint stripper:scary:

Thanks for getting back to me. I'll look for one of those blockoff plates. I'll also see if I can get a hold of a c clamp.

Got a c clamp and that made a world of difference. Brakes are done.
