When installing the piston into my cylinder i thought i had it all in there but as it turned out, one of the thin rings surrounding the waffle ring had caught, it was tweaked just a little bit, I was able to tweak it back, i eyed it real closely and layed it on a flat surface and it looked just as flat as before... I went ahead and installed the cylinder now, just wondering, do you all think it should be ok?

Probably OK, just an oil scraper ring. Just remember once you bend a metal, it will never be as strong, and that is now a weak point on that ring. You'll probably be fine though.

i took the ring from my old piston (it was shot) and i bent it all the way over like a fold, i definently saw some stress mark but it hadnt cracked or broken, so i dont think it will really affect the strength

I'd run it. Should be just fine. As long as you have it in the groove theres not far for it to go. I wouldn't sweat it.
