a friends sweet 99 and better than new by far..
i can say with no embellishment, it was a virtually a rolling heap when he got it.. stripped engine and frame bolts, broken engine parts, busted up swingarm and so on.. itd obviously been through some needless neglect and bad wrecks..
ill try to get a before shot from him sometime. i hope he doesnt mind me braggin it up.
admittedly i was skeptical, joking how he grabbed it by the mutilated subframe, just as it was beginning to fall over the cliff of no return.
it didnt blow smoke, the gearbox was good and it had a decent set of beadlocks.
but.. a 50/50 mix of elbow grease and hard earned ca$h later.. its the best "new" 1999 ive ever laid eyes on. tight and right..
