stage 2 hot cam

I have a 400ex with a white brothers slip on and air filter - what would you recommend for cheap performence i was looking at the stage 2 hot cam, 14t , and can anyone tell me what the sparks advance key do ???? and where can i find any information on buying the stage 2 hot cam ?????

The Hotcams Stage 2 cam would provide a big increase in power IF you also get a high compression piston. A longer duration cam keeps the valves open longer, which gives the piston less time to build cylinder pressure when the valves finally do close. This will rob a lot of bottom end power. Increasing compression will restore most of that bottom end loss, with a big boost in mid and top, as well. I got my stage 1 cam and piston kit from Moto-Man. go to gmo1.com they have the hot cam 2 on sale for 119. ive heard the sparks advance key is for stock bikes only and not to run it on a modded quad .

the 14tooth is a good mod if you like low end acceleration. i have a 16tooth on mine and im never goin back to a 14 .

I have a Honda 400ex with a 440 big bore kit weisco 12:5:1 compression with a rev limiter box with a magnum stage 2 hot cam and a pro circuit T4 slip on exhaust i was told to take the decompression components off with the cam because it could damage the motor now my problem is the quad runs great for about 10 minutes and then if u shut it off it wont start up for about 20 minutes and it will crank over and it will seem like the battery is dead if anyone knows anything about my problem i would appreciate it. I thank everyone very much.
