Just ordered my new metallic blue Gen X atv hood today. They don't make one specifically for the 400, so I ordered the 450 model. It should get here next week. I'll post pics, and let everyone know if it worked. I'm going to throw it on my stock plastics so I can butcher them, get the hood right, and then order my new white carbon fiber Maiers.

Nice i just got my metallic red gen x hood for my 450R last week. i orderd it on a tuesday and got it by friday. LOL thats only because genx is from my home state of NJ. But they make some great stuff forsure!

Just got it in the mail today. Man, the pics on the website just don't do it justice. The gel-coat is sick. Even these pics don't really do anything for it. The white carbon fiber Maiers should be here next week. I can't freakin' wait......I'm sure it'll make my bike way faster---:D

anyone here try making their own hood? I could thermoform a hood in any color that plastic sheets come in if I had a hood.

So does anyone know of any manufacturers of custom colored gas tank covers? GenX doesn't offer them, and all I can currently find are Maiers. Any ideas? I had a friend of a friend tell me he saw a custom plastics company that could integrate schemes like diamond plate into a plastic mold. That might be pretty pimp.....
