i changed the transmission oil on my 250r today.this is the first time it's been changed since i have owed it.the previous owner sad the top and bottom end had 1 hour on them since it was rebuilt.the oil looked clean but it had a grayish tint to it,could this have something to do with the rebuild? thanks

was it like flakey grey? that would indicate clutchs. if it was milky it took on water. just run it for a few minutes and change it again.

i had that before i had to run it then drain it like 2-3 times for it to look right. my lil kx60 used to get that and i think it needed the water pump repaired?? i traded it to a freind of mine and thats what he said.

i am all most positive it is not water in the oil.i have seen that before on a 2 stroke.this almost looks like gray paint not white.i was wondering if someone used something gray to assemble the motor.i will run the motor a little while and check it again, and see if it will flush out.

Pretty normal. Its from the clutch plates.I change my tranny oil every weekend after I race.
