Right now my 400 is red and I want to go with a black theme, Black plastics, a lil red (control arms and such) and the chrome wheels and axle. I think it will look really good. I know I can get some plastic paint, sand the plastics, and give it a couple of layers of clear coat. Also I want to put a base coat of white so I can put some emblems on and paint over them.

What do you guys think?

PS: I have a dye matrix 5 paintball gun and compressed air tank(68 4500) for sale or trade, im looking for a LStar axle +2, 450 carb, Front/Rear shocks, +2 A-arms

I also Have a Nitrous express wet shot kit for sale including everything you need and bottle blanket w/ automatic pressure shut off for perfect PSI.

Im going to post in F/S section in a couple of days.

I pained the plastics on my blaster with krylon fusion. It turned out really good. The only problem is the tank cover, where your knees rub, the paint wears through in a few rides, especially if you ride any gritty surfaces...

Hmmmmn Maybe ill get some spay on bed liner for the tank, think that will work?

And how did you go about painting the blaster? did you sand it, how many layers etc.

sand it down with a fine grit like a 320, wash it down with soap and water then let it dry, rub it down with rubbing alcohol then followed by a tack cloth , be patient, first a very light coat, should still be able to see original color, let it dry and wipe it down again with tack cloth to remove the overspray dust and spray it again with another coat let it dry and repeat with tack cloth. The 3rd coat should be enough to make you happy. you should be happy with the results. Heck of alot cheaper then new aftermarket plastic. BE EXTRA CARFUL WITH GAS AND WD-40 OR OTHER PENETRANTS. THE PAINT WILL RUIN AND BE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO TOUCH UP.
