450R front hubs

Will the 450R front hubs and brake disc fit on the 400EX spindle?

Well i know for a fact that 250x/300ex hubs and 400ex spindles can be swapped between them and vice versa. All you need to do is use the bearings for the spindle of which hub your putting it on. I have personally done this so i know that works. You can put 400ex hubs/brake rotors on 250x/300ex spindles. Calipers mount fine as well.

As far as 400ex and 450r hubs and bearings swapping onto each others spindles i dont know. But all you need to find out is if the outer diameter of the 450r bearings are the same as the 400ex. If the bearings have the same diameter than you need to see the length of the spindle the hub has to mount onto. If thats close than id say yes. Than you have to worry about the brake discs working. If i had to guess i would say yes most likely but you defintaly need to try it first!

Oh well in that case its really as long as the bearings from the 400ex fit the 450r hub.

All Front Hub bearings and seals are also the same.

Oh well than based on that info yes it will work. Id really like to put 450R calipers on my 400ex i think it would make the front brakes alot better.

The only thing that could be a spoiler(but doubtful) would be the rotor placement offset.

hmmm true. well that means the 250x/300ex, 400ex and 450r all use the same rotors. And all use the same bearings. so id be willing to bet the spindles shafts are all the same as well. So that means the only problem could be the offset of the rotors on the hubs.

Although 250x/300ex and 400ex hubs are interchangable with no problems. Id still be willing to bet the 400ex and 450r hubs are about the same as well.
