Hey im racing next year because all the tracks are closing for the winter now, but i wanted to know when should i get my ama card ? is it a calendar year or a year from when you buy it ? thanks

its a year from when you buy it. BUY ATVA they support quads oh did i mention buy ATVA

When you sign up they ask you what you ride if you say quad they automatically sign you up for the ATVA.

i race at ama sanctioned tracks though do they except atva or when i buy the ama card can i buy it then as well. where do i get a card ? do i call a # or is there a site ? or an adress ? thanks guys

The ATVA card is you ama card. Its the same.

Yeah I have to get mine soon too. I might not be racing to much next year I got to work on getting another quad. You can go to the ATVA website. its probably www.atva.com but im not sure. But I know they have them at the tracks.

When you are doing the paper work (signing up ) make sure that the form has ATVA on it. If not you will get the AMA card. The ATVA card is good at any AMA event, just like the AMA card is good at any ATV event. Except that ATVA money will go for the good of ATV's and guess into what acount will the money for the AMA card go into?
The members that we have the more power we have. What I mean by this is that some of the bike people think that there are just a hand full of us ATV riders out there.

Not all the tracks will have a pad for ATVA sign up. They can get them but there is no requirement for them. You are better off signing up a head of time from ATVA or talk to the promoter and ask him to get a pad of the forms, he/she can order them from AMA with the rest of the stuf that he/she needs...

I know they have said it before but it is really important to sign up for ATVA insted of AMA becuse the goverment looks at those numbers.... If you carry a AMA card insted of a ATVA card the they assume that YOU DON'T RIDE QUADS... That is not the message that we want to get out.

yes you will use your atva card at any sanctioned event. the atva help atver like the ama helps bikers

Like he said, a ATVA card is the same as a AMA card as long as you sign up for the compitition membership($39). Infact on the back there is a AMA logo....

ahh ****, the last race I was at was an ama sanctioned race and the women that was helping me sign up knew I rode a quad and didn't inform me anything about that. I have an AMA card now, not atva. Damn that sucks, will my ama card work at atv nationals???????

yes it will but remeber next year atva it helps all of us
