Hey guys,

My fiance has a '06 250ex and the ride on it is terrible, it bounces her around like she's on a pogo stick. She doesn't really want to spend the money for the works or the elkas. I read that the 300ex shocks work for the front, my question is, is there a noticeable difference with them? Are there any other options? (that widening kit looks hideous so I dont want to go that route)

I just got her a pro circuit T-4 and had the frame powder coated, so now it sounds good and looks good, now she wants it to ride good :)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have the widening kit on my my 05 250ex and it does not look hideous at all, but I got 400ex front shocks and rides really smooth, when I am racing through the woods the shocks soak up alot more than stock and the dont bounce. But that is 400ex front shocks.

I would also like to know about putting 300ex shocks on.
Thanks,
Raz

Thanks,
Raz The 300 shocks are a lot stiffer than the 250 ones,if thats what your looking for.It depends on your weight and how you ride and what you ride on.

but not sure.I see you have 400 and 250 so go measure across the back of the arms where they bolt to the frame and see if they measure the same and if the bolts are the same size. Also measure from the frame to someplace on the tire/wheel and see what length out you might gain. I sure would like to know this kind of infomation!

if 400ex stock a arms would fit that would be a great thing to know..id definately do that but then id need 400ex stock shocks? and that would mean new shock relocater mounts right

They do not fit, the a-arm mounts on the 250 are narrower than the 400's

One thing that could be done is use the upper shock brackets from the widening kit, incorporated with wider a-arms. If the angles were right you could achieve a long-travel suspension setup...
