that guy did alot for hot rodding, he left a legacy of custom cars that will keep his memories alive

I love the way he took the old school muscle cars and refined them with todays technology of performance and handleing

he touched alot of souls

The Feds, along with the state of California busted him for flasifying the value of the cars he was selling on the titles. In California, the cost of your license plate tags depends on the purchase price/value of your car. He was lowballing both so he could avaoid paying taxes on the full amount, and his clients were avoiding the high price of the tags, at least the ones living in California.

The Feds busted into his shop last year, guns pulled and everything.

That's not very uncommon, atleast around these parts. I guess it becomes a little more prominent when you are famous and selling cars for those kinds of prices.

I didnt realize he was 63, thought he was younger then that. But either way that is a shame. He produced or atleast ran a shop that produced great things.

we are OVER TAXED, if he found a way to save a few bucks for him and the buyers I say good.

tax my wages, tax on my home purchase, property tax every year, tax everything I put in it, tax everything I do to it, etc etc

oh yeah............ if I sell it I get taxed on what I make off of it

im done, dont want to turn the thread to taxes
