06/07 450r Shift Shaft

Hey Just wondering if you guys think that a 06/07 450r shift shaft would fit into a 2003 crf motor?
I think they should be the same the 450r shift shaft will just sit out further so you can use a normal shifter.
I am in the process of finding out I ordered a shift shaft last night and will be putting it in somtime next week.
I will let you know how it turns out

Just by comparing by eye it looks like it will fit in

Are you havin any luck? I am building a crf hybrid also and if it works i;ll do the same thing.

Yah works great fits in and sticks out further so you can use a normal shifter

What all parts are needed other than the shaft

all you would need is a 450r shifter and the shift shaft and the gasket for the right case. All the other parts are interchangeable from one shaft to the other
