Every one I have seen is pretty good except the DG I have. I haven't been to happy with it. it took one trip out and it was all bent up and that is the same story I have gotten from everyone that has gotten one.

PRM....
I've put my chassis and rear skid thru pure he!! in the last two years and they have held up beautifully. Those are some seriously heavy duty skids.

Grrreaat. I just ordered DG. Did you get the Baja? I had DG on my ol QuadSport back in the day and they held up great....I read some reviews that were good as well.

I decided on DG over the PRM because its what my dealer could get and being a small business owner I try to keep it local....hope it doesnt bite me in the arse!

trust me on this get prm chais skid plate and for the swingarm get the armadilo skid plate it is 250 thick alumiunm instead of just 190 thick alumiunm so it is twice as strong. i have not even dented it yet and i have heit some pretty big rocks with it.
rocky mountin carys them fro 80 bucks i think it said in thier new catulage. it used to be 60 i think well thatas what i got mine for any ways.

leo has an armidilo skid for tthe 400ex. maybe if u have any ?s about the armidilo skid for a 400ex you could pm him

Mine is all bent up,but it is still usable and I have had it for about a year and a half. I am just saying if I was to do it again I wouldn't get another DG. I would prob go with PRM.

A vote for the PRM here..... It's taken me from he!l and back more than a few times on hard, rocky Arizona desert trips. More than I can say about some of the other aftermarket ones...

I have AC skids right now, but when they get bent up I will be getting some PRM's for sure.

Thanks,

I have tried the DG swingarm skid and the AC desert skid, and I was not pleased with either. My next is the Pro-tect stainless.

It's an excellent place to have "full" skids. It helps everything become "slick" on the bottom side......

i have an armidillo skid, it is tough as shnit and it bent the swingarm mountin brackets before it bent, my bro got an ac skid for his 400 and its been bent since the first ride, i saw somewhere that armidillo does make 400ex swingarm skids, they are .250 thick, which is as thick as they come.

I saw a PRM at the honda dealer today and man are those things built thick and very strong. Plus they are not real expensive. I think PRM or Pro-Tect would be your best bet.

I have the DG Baja on my 250 and am pretty pleased with it so far. I have cased it really bad a few times and it is still holding its form. On thing I have done is to get some truck cap liner, it's that sticky foam stuff that you put the cap on your truck with. I put that stuff all on the contact points of the plate and it cuts down the rattle and helps absorb some of the impact between the chassis and the plate.
