Anyone using prescription mx goggles or have any info on the better way to go, full goggle vs inserts. Any info appreciated.

Kyle always liked the rx insert for the goggles. They were much easier to replace the lenses when they got scratched. We got lucky & the first insert we got fit all the goggles he had. It was from a pair of Bolle snowmobile goggles. Now he wears contact lenses, so he wears those instead.

I know there are alot of different options on www.sportrx.com.

Bailey has gone to contacts as well. Here is another option.

Thanks guys. Will check into the 800 goggles, Dave, that's the second mention I got on it.

Mike, do the inserts tend to scratch alot and did Kyle have a problem with them jarring loose while riding?

Tanner tried contacts thru the winter and he's just not there yet.
Had a real prob. getting them in and didn't like it a bit.

The rx adapters on 800 goggles are just like the ones we got Kyle. They didn't jar loose, but they did scratch, we probably went through 2 sets of lenses a season. The second year he used them we ended up getting a second set of adapters made up ahead of time.

I bought inserts from www.sportrx.com they work great. They make them to fit almost any type of goggle....and it made a huge difference now that he can see the track. They are pretty fast and friendly.

Thanks for the help...400ex , After last season I hope to never hear the words.."I can't see"..again. It's heartbreaking to not be able to FIX his problem.:(

917, I went with the contacts for Logan when he was like 6yo. He needed them for wrestling and he uses them all the time. He now looks different with his glasses on. He is blind as a bat. Now, we have to put them in and out for him but when he is ready he will do it on his own. Additionally, ALWAYS bring a set or two extra.
