So heres the deal got a slip on my quads its jetted great for the pipe but it wont idle. Runs great all the way through the gears but will not idle any ideas?

umm mine does the same i have a 40 pilot and jetted right drop ur needle to the leanest setting and go from there

You really shouldnt ever go to a leaner setting to determine a problem. Plus, the needle doesnt affect the idle circuit. Adjust your mixture screw either way and see which one makes it better or worse. When you determine if it works better going leaner or richer, change your pilot jet to fix the problem. Also for starters make sure the pilot jet isnt cloged.

ok then thanks.... then when at idle it seems way to right but doesnt back fire on decell what do i do to fix the groggieness on low end with out changing pilots?????

Adjust the mixture screw. This is only for fine tuning though. If its not backfireing on decell then your not lean so thats good. Lean the mixture screw by screwing it into the carb. If it is less than 1.5 turns out, then you need a smaller pilot jet.

its all stock except the main jet and the one step up pilot to a 40.... then the mixture screw is stock setting... so?? go a lil leaner on the needle? its rish on idling and mid... so yea

yea this thing does not want to start in the cold at all, it takes forever to get it running, and when its does it doesnt want to idle at all. So a bigger piolet jet would fix this.
