View Full Version : where do i begin racing?

i have a 2001 416ex and this summer id liek to start small races and such, i live in northern ohio. does anyone know who or what to cantact to begin with racing?

Not really sure what your trying to ask. if you wanna race, then go for it. if you know any local tracks around you then just hit them up. you'll just want to make sure that you have the parts you need to be able to race including a tether, nerfs. im assuming you want to start mx racing, so you'll probly want to start in C class to get the feel of it and know what to expect. i hope this helped, anymore questions feel free to ask

the thing is that i dont knwo any tracks by me. i need to know a website or a list or race tracks and locations around me. do you know of any websites like this?

That will list all the tracks around your area. i forgot to mention make sure you have all the proper gear as well!

alright thanks man uv been a great help. for gear all you need is like riding boots, chest protector, helmet right? and for the atv is just teather strap and nerfs like you said. do you do alot of racing yourself?

no problem man. yeah thats about all the gear you'll need. depending on the race track, you might need riding pants and jersey. some will let jeans and long sleeve fly though. a tether and nerfs is a must. be prepared to start breaking $hit to lol. mx racing really takes a toll on the quad. i raced for two years and within two years i had already made my way up to quad A production. then i sold it, but im either buying another quad or a bike, just have to see what happens. anyways...good luck with racing man!

not sure were exactly you man by northern OH, but I live in Southern MI near Toledo and the MI MX tracks are some of the best in this region try this sight out: http://www.ama-d14.org/
