Just got it. We're picking it up next week!

It's an 89 banshee. Brand new tires all around and aftermarket plastics. Has electrical problems but we got it for $500.

I'm looking for a couple parts too. I need stock headlights, J-arm bushings, and I want to trade the aftermarket plastics for stock uncut plastics. I like having fenders.

Now I can keep my 400ex for trails and have the banshee for TT and coal mines!

What do you think?

I get all my deals from friends and such.

The guy we bought it from was my dads employee;s friend, and I got my 400ex for $1800 and its an 05, from his employee's brother!

Well, we're getting a title for the banshee.

As far as the 400ex, its a long story. I do have a bill of sale though.

Good deal. Banshees are known to have stator problems through all the years. Id look there first! And get newer stock banshee a arms and get rid of the J arms they are scary as hell and a terrible idea on yamahas part. Decent size jumps you can watch them flex!!

If I get aftermarket a-arms in the future ill convert. Right now its fine, just eats bushings quicker.

When your laying on the ground looking at your broke quad, you'll remember saying that it was fine to trust those 19 year old J-arms that werent very strong when they were new.

Check ebay and get a set of used banshee A-arms. You wont regret it.

May as well pick up some newer shocks too.

Good luck with her man.:)

Update:

Started tearing her down and getting into the electrical system. We don't think the voltage regulator was hooked up so we're gonna test around this Sunday.

If we can't get this harness to work we're gonna install a new one that we have lying around. If that doesn't work, we're takin the side cover off and checkin the pickups and stator.
